We are a family run holiday accommodation set in a rural hamlet and within the Lake District National Park.

The accommodation is exceptionally clean and is a quality self-catering accommodation positioned in the hamlet of Redmain, which is 2 miles from Cockermouth, Cumbria.

Huddlestone Cottage has fully glazed doors at the entrance, which lead to a living area that is open plan. The dining and kitchen area has a with a log fire giving a warm focal point.

There is a toilet downstairs and a shower room.

A pine staircase leads you upstairs where there is another full bathroom that is equipped with a corner bath.

The two double bedrooms provide the visitors with the use of a king size bed and a twin bedroom to sleep four people in total.

Huddlestone Cottage is equipped with wide screen TV, Freeview, DVD/CD player, fridge, freezer, microwave, radio, washer/dryer, electric and heating included, linen, blankets, open log fire, duvets, towels, shower room and corner bath.

All of the floors are polished pine with rugs and we have managed to retain most of the original stone walls. The ceilings upstairs are lofted with exposed beams. 

There is also an ironing board and iron. Windows look onto the courtyard by a lawned area where the ground is gently rising, recently we have planted a small deciduous wood under planted with bluebells.

Some books and games are provided for all guests to enjoy.

A single pet is welcome providing the pet is kept under control and must be kept off the furniture and out of the bedrooms to help those with allergies. 

There is also a formal herb garden, wild flower meadow, a wildlife pond, a small orchard, and three outdoor barbecues.
 
On your arrival there will be enough coffee, tea, sugar and basics like soap and washing up liquid to get you started.

There is a internet access cable point (Cat 5 Network) and a Wifi wireless broadband access point, for connection to your computer. There is a small charge of £15.00 per week or short break stay for this service, unfortunately there is a limit to this service, Extra downloads will incur extra charges.

Huddlestone Cottage is for Non-Smokers only.

In 1999 the Solway Rural Initiative, a local agency which was set up to protect and enhance the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, invited businesses to take part in the Solway Greens Award Scheme.

We are very proud to say that we were awarded a GOLD!!!!
